Many Obstacles for Relief Workers in Myanmar

GENEVA (AP) – So many obstacles are keeping outside relief workers from reaching hundreds of thousands of people in Myanmar. Many around the world are trying to help, but the lack of transport and infrastructure are complicating usually rapid international relief. Up to 1.9 million are homeless, injured or threatened by disease and hunger. Only 1 in 10 have received any kind of aid in the six days since the cyclone hit.
