Devastating Cyclone Hits Myanmar

Yangon, May 3 (Reuters) – A huge tropical cyclone struck Myanmar’s main city on Saturday, forcing authorities to close the airport. Cyclone Nargis hit the capital, Yangon, with winds over 120 mph and a storm surge of up to 12 feet in the coastal areas. The damage is extensive and it could be several days before power, communications, and transport services are up and running.
